OVERVIEW
Vietnam is known as the safest destination where also offer travellers outstanding cultural features and natural beauty. With so much to see and do in this gem of a country, a wonderful way to experience Vietnam is undoubtedly through its five World Heritage Sites designated by UNESCO including the breathtaking scenery in Ha Long Bay, the illusory Phong Nha Cave, Hue royal city and Hoi An Ancient Town with the intricate architecture of My Son Sanctuary.
Day 1: HANOI (D)
Welcome at the airport upon your arrival and transfer to your selected hotel. Early in the evening, enjoy the water puppet show. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 2: HANOI / HALONG (B/L/D)
Spending your day for touring the capital and visit the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum , its former residence, One Pillar Pagoda, Tran Quoc Pagoda, Temple, Temple of Literature, Hoan Kiem Lake, Ngoc Son Temple and the Old Quarter. In the middle of the afternoon, transfer by road to the famous Halong Bay. Overnight in Halong.
Day 3: HALONG / HANOI (B/L)
Boarding for a 6-hour cruise through the mystical Halong Bay and admire one of the natural marvels of Vietnam. Visit islets, natural caves of Dau Go & Trinh Nu and, if weather permits, enjoy a swim in the clear waters of the Gulf of Tonkin. Sea food lunch on board will delight you before returning to Hanoi in the late afternoon Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 4: HANOI / HOABINH / MAICHAU(B/L/D)
Morning driving to the Thai minority village of MaiChau via Hoa Binh in the heart of Tonkin. On the way, stop at Song Da reservoir and enjoy a cruise on the lake, then visit Muong and Dao minority villages and learn about the traditional life of the local people. Lunch in Hoa Binh before continuing to Mai Chau. Dinner and overnight in a stilt house.
Day 5: MAICHAU / HOALU / NINH BINH / HANOI / HUE(B/L)
Transferring to Hoa Lu, so-called “Halong Bay on land”. Arrive in Van Lam village and board a small sampan for a spectacular 3-hour cruise through numerous waterways, beautiful rural landscape of limestone cliffs and rice paddies to the stunning Tam Coc caves. Lunch in a local restaurant then visit Dinh and Le Dynastic temples before driving to Hanoi airport for the night flight to Hue. Pick up on arrival and transfer for hotel check in. Overnight in Hue
Day 6: HUE (B/L)
Breakfast at the hotel, then take a boat for a cruise on the gentle Perfume River. Visit Dong Ba market, Thien Mu Pagoda on the river bank and Emperor Minh Mang’s tomb. In the afternoon, visit the Imperial Citadel, Emperor Tu Duc and Emperor Khai Dinh’s mausoleums. Overnight in Hue.
Day 7: HUE / DMZ / HUE (B/L)
Full day to discover Demilitarised Zone (DMZ). On arrival visit La Vang Church, the old Citadel of Quang Tri and Dong Ha Town. Lunch in a local restaurant then discover the 17th parallel, Ben Hai River, Vinh Moc tunnel and the Museum. Stop at Cua Tung beach before driving back to Hue. Overnight in Hue.
Day 8: HUE / DANANG / HOIAN (B/L)
Driving Danang via the Hai Van Pass and through the picturesque fishing village of Lang Co. On arrival, visit the Cham Museum and Marble Mountain then continue to the riverside town of Hoi An nowadays, is officially listed as a world heritage site. Check into the hotel then take a walking tour round Hoi An ancient town and explore its treasures: the Japanese Bridge, PhucKien Pagoda, PhungHung Old Merchant House, Quang Dong Assembly Hall. Overnight in Hoi An.
Day 9: HOIAN / QUI NHON (B/L)
After an early breakfast, transfer to Qui Nhon, one of Vietnam’s more active second-string seaports. On the way, stop in Tam Ky and visit Kuong My and Chien Dan towers. Near Qui Nhon, visit Canh Tien Tower and the silver towers of Banh It. Arrive in Qui Nhon and check into your hotel before touring the city. Overnight in Qui Nhon.
Day 10: QUI NHON / NHA TRANG (B/L)
First visit Thap Doi towers and then drive to Nha Trang . Stop at the beautiful Dai Lanh beach before continuing to NhaTrang. On arrival, take a city tour and visit the Ponagar Cham towers, Hon Chong rocks and Cho Dam market. Overnight in Nha Trang.
Day 11: NHA TRANG with Island Tour(B/L)
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Nha Trang’s port for a boat cruise to visit Islands. Lunch on board before returning to the hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure to relax on the beach or explore the town on your own. Overnight in Nha Trang.
Day 12: NHA TRANG / DALAT (B/L)
Breakfast at the hotel, take the trip to the cool hill station of Dalat by driving. On the way, visit the Cham towers of Poklong Garai. Arrive in Dalat and visit Tuyen Lam lake, Truclam pagoda, Emperor Bao Dai’s villa. Overnight in Dalat.
Day 13: DALAT / HO CHI MINH CITY(B)
Free at hotel until to be transferred to the airport for the flight to Saigon. Welcome upon arrival and transfer for hotel check in. Free at leisure and overnight in Saigon
Day 14: HO CHI MINH CITY (B/L)
Breakfast at thehotel. Full day touring the bustling Saigon: Enjoy a tour in Cho Lon and stop at Binh Tay Market. Discover the vast sanctuary of Vinh Nghiem Pagoda. In the afternoon, enjoy a tour in the Old Colonial Residential Quarter and discover the old Hotel de Ville, the Opera House, Notre-Dame Cathedral, built in the 19th century, the dazzling French-style post office and the Reunification Palace. Ends the day with a visit to the War Remnants Museum. Overnight in Saigon.
Day 15: HO CHI MINH CITY / CU CHI (B/L)
Day with discovery Cu Chi tunnels and visit the incredible underground network built by Vietcong during the Vietnam war. Return to Saigon at the beginning of the afternoon. Rest of the day at leisure for shopping. Overnight in Saigon.
Day 16: HO CHI MINH CITY / CAI BE(B/L)
Morning departure from Ho Chi Minh City and drive overland to Cai Be, in the heart of the Mekong Delta. On arrival, board a sampan for a cruise on the Mekong River and its multiple canals. Visit Cai Be floating market, an old colonial house, a rice corn factory and taste local specialties for lunch. In the afternoon, return to Saigon. Overnight in Saigon.
Day 17: HO CHI MINH CITY - DEPARTURE(B)
Free time for visiting and shopping at leisure until your next departure.
